Triad is the early childhood council serving Jefferson, Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties.

EARLY CHILDHOOD COUNCILS

In 1997, through the action of the Colorado General Assembly, 17 Consolidated Child Care Pilot (Pilots) communities in 30 of Colorado's counties were created to build a quality early childhood system through the collaboration of local partners. The Pilots were charged with the creation of a "seamless delivery system of early care and education services" to:

Ensure collaboration among public and private stakeholders;
Respond to the needs of working parents;
Enhance child care quality; and
Consolidate funding sources to create an early childhood system.
